Maximize Combat Power
Make data-driven decisions about your march composition. Every stat point matters in PvP battles and rallies.
Save Resources
Stop investing in the wrong heroes. Focus your limited shards and XP on heroes that provide the best returns for your account.
Understanding the calculation methodology helps you interpret results accurately and make informed hero replacement decisions:
1. Star Level Multipliers
Each star level applies a multiplier to the hero's base stats:
2. Stat Calculation Formula
We calculate each hero's effective stats using official multipliers:
Effective Stat = Base Stat × Star MultiplierExample: A 5-star hero with 1000 base attack → 1000 × 0.90 = 900 effective attack
3. Three-Stat Comparison
We compare Attack, Defense, and Health individually, then calculate a total stat sum to give you both detailed and overall comparisons. This helps you understand if a hero is better offensively or defensively.
4. Percentage Difference Analysis
For each stat, we calculate both absolute and percentage differences:
Percentage = ((New Hero Stat - Current Hero Stat) / Current Hero Stat) × 100This shows the relative improvement or decline in each stat category.
5. Intelligent Recommendations
Based on total stat comparison, we provide clear recommendations: Replace now if the new hero is better, or Wait if your current hero still provides superior stats. The decision is data-driven, not guesswork.
All calculations use conquest stats (not city defense stats) since those are what matter in actual combat scenarios.
Our calculator's recommendations have been validated by thousands of players. Here are real comparison cases:
Jaeger vs. Thorne
Player "WarChief"
Scenario: 5-star Thorne vs. 1-star Jaeger

Scenario: 3-star Viktor vs. 1-star Chen
Prediction: Keep Viktor (-8% if replaced)
Reality: Player tested both, Viktor performed better
Mythic Upgrade
Top Player "KingSlayer"
Scenario: 6-star Epic vs. 1-star Mythic
Prediction: Replace (+23% stats gain)
Reality: 50M power increase, dominated KvK
Used by 50,000+ players to make optimal hero replacement decisions
Follow these simple steps to compare heroes and make the best replacement decision:
Select Your Current Hero
Choose the hero you're currently using in your march from the dropdown menu. The list shows all heroes with available conquest stat data, organized by type (Infantry/Cavalry/Archer) and generation (Epic/Mythic/Legendary).
Choose Current Hero's Star Level
Select your current hero's star level (1-6 stars). This is critical because it determines their actual combat stats. Check your hero profile in-game to see the exact star level.
Tip: The star count is shown on your hero's portrait in the game.
Select Comparison Hero
Choose the new hero you're considering replacing your current hero with. The tool automatically filters out your current hero from this list. All comparisons assume the new hero is at 1-star level (base stats).
Note: This represents the minimum performance you'd get from the new hero.
Click "Compare Heroes"
Hit the compare button to generate a detailed stat-by-stat analysis. The calculator will show you Attack, Defense, Health, and Total Stat differences with both absolute values and percentages.
Review the Recommendation
Read the recommendation carefully:
- ✅ "Recommended!" = The new hero is better, even at 1-star
- ⏳ "Wait!" = Your current hero is still superior, don't replace yet
Analyze Individual Stats
Don't just look at the total - check individual stat differences:
- Higher Attack = Better for rallies and PvP
- Higher Defense = Better for defending your city
- Higher Health = Better troop survivability
Consider your playstyle when evaluating trade-offs between stats.
Pro Tip: Always compare before investing General Hero Shards. A wrong decision can waste months of resource collection!
Use these frameworks to make optimal hero replacement decisions based on your specific situation:
🏆PvP Focused
Goal: Maximize attack power
- • Prioritize Attack stat over others
- • Replace if Attack gain ≥ 10%
- • Mythic heroes usually win
- • Don't wait for 6-star epics
🛡️Defense Focused
Goal: Protect your city
- • Prioritize Defense + Health
- • Replace if Defense gain ≥ 15%
- • Balanced heroes work well
- • Wait for higher stars
⚖️Balanced Play
Goal: Overall versatility
- • Look at total stat increase
- • Replace if total gain ≥ 12%
- • Avoid major stat trade-offs
- • Best for most players
💎Resource Limited
Goal: Optimize shard usage
- • Only replace at ≥20% gain
- • Save shards for major upgrades
- • Max current hero first
- • Focus on one hero at a time
🚀Generation Leap
Goal: Epic → Mythic upgrade
- • Almost always worth it
- • Even 1-star Mythic > 6-star Epic
- • Better skill sets too
- • Plan shard collection early
📊Rally Leader
Goal: Lead effective rallies
- • Attack stat is king
- • Match hero to troop type
- • Replace for any Attack increase
- • Skills matter as much as stats
Universal Best Practices
Q: Why does the calculator compare new heroes at 1-star level?
A: When you first obtain a new hero, they start at 1-star. This tool answers the critical question: "Should I replace my current X-star hero with this new 1-star hero right now?" If a 1-star version already beats your current hero, it's a no-brainer replacement. If not, you know to wait until you can upgrade the new hero first.
Q: Are these stats accurate for all game versions?
A: Yes! Our hero stats are extracted from official game data and updated with each major patch. The star level multipliers (50%-100%) are universal across all Kingshot servers and versions. We verify data with top players from multiple regions.
Q: Should I only look at total stats or individual stats?
A: It depends on your playstyle. For most players, total stats give the best overall picture. However, if you're focused on a specific role (rally leader = prioritize Attack, city defender = prioritize Defense), look at individual stats. The calculator shows both so you can make an informed decision based on your needs.
Q: What if the new hero is only slightly better (1-5% increase)?
A: For small improvements (under 10%), consider other factors: Do you have enough General Hero Shards? Does the new hero have better skills? Will you use this hero long-term? Generally, if the stat gain is marginal and you're low on resources, it might be worth waiting. Use our Strategic Decision Framework above for guidance.
Q: Can I compare heroes of different troop types?
A: Yes, you can compare any two heroes in the calculator. However, remember that hero effectiveness also depends on your march composition. An Infantry hero works best with Infantry troops, Cavalry with Cavalry, etc. The stat comparison is valid, but consider troop type compatibility in your final decision.
Q: Why don't you include hero skills in the comparison?
A: Hero skills vary greatly by situation and are harder to quantify numerically. This tool focuses on raw stat comparisons which provide objective, measurable data. We recommend researching hero skills separately (check hero guides) and combining that knowledge with our stat analysis for the complete picture.
Q: How many General Hero Shards do I need to unlock a new hero?
A: Epic heroes typically need 10-30 shards, Mythic heroes need 50-100 shards, and Legendary heroes can require 100+ shards. Check our Hero Shard Calculator tool to plan your shard collection strategy. This helps you determine if you can afford to replace your current hero.
Q: What happens if I compare the same hero at different star levels?
A: The calculator prevents selecting the same hero twice. However, if you want to see stat progression across star levels, you can manually run multiple comparisons using different heroes as placeholders. Each star level provides a consistent stat multiplier increase, so you can predict growth.
Q: Should I always follow the calculator's recommendation?
A: The calculator provides data-driven recommendations, but you should also consider: available resources (shards, XP), hero skills and talents, your specific march needs, and long-term account strategy. Use the recommendation as a strong guideline, not an absolute rule. The Strategic Decision Framework section helps with these considerations.
Q: Does equipment affect these stat comparisons?
A: No, this calculator shows base hero stats without equipment bonuses. Equipment adds percentage-based stat increases on top of base stats, so a hero with higher base stats will also benefit more from the same equipment. Our comparisons give you the foundation - equipment amplifies these differences.
